Meet The Staff

Our senior Pastor, Phillip Mathis, is married to Kathlynn Mathis.  They have four adult children, Brittany Glenn [Michael], Cody Mathis, Jon Mathis, and Kaitlynn Evans [Matthew].   They also have four grandchildren, Jamie Lynn, Keagen Chase, Jonah Phillip, and Harlee Iris.  

Bro. Phillip  attended Covington Bible College where he earned his degree in Sacred Literature.  He also attended Gadsden Business College [Business Adminstration/Accounting].   He graduated from Emma Sansom High School and works at Metal Solutions in Gadsden.

Before becoming pastor at New Faith, he served on our Elder Team.  He has served as pastor of several churches in Etowah county, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Briarwood Hills Baptist Church, Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and New Liberty Baptist Church.  

"The vision statement at New Faith is "We are committed to making a difference in our community".   Our goal is to equip our church family to use their spiritual gifts and talents to achieve that goal.  We do believe the "church" is to exist outside the church walls, in our communities, our work places and our homes.   We strive to encourage and equip people to "BE THE CHURCH".  I want our church to do more than meet once a week in Bible studies and worship, we have to be a church on the move.   As ambassadors for the Kingdom, we are to represent the Kingdom of God to the world around us."  Pastor Phillip Mathis

Cassandra oversees all of our Children's ministry.  She has been with New Faith since day 1, along with Sonya Teague and others they faithfully serve our kids.

We are blessed beyond measure to have such a wonderful team working with our kids.

Cassandra oversees all our Children's Ministry at New Faith.   She has faithfully served New Faith and God's Kingdom since NFCC was planted.

Cassandra is a teacher at Cedar Bluff Elementry School.  She is married to Jeff Allen, children are Madison and Haley.

We are blessed beyond measure to have Cassandra at New Faith.

Donnie serves as our Youth Team leader and also serves on our Elder Team.  

He is married to Sonya, sons, Dylan and Dawson.  He is employed at CMC Metals as a Traffic Manager.

He and Sonya live in Hokes Bluff, Al.

Kathynn is the wife of Bro. Phillip and is currently serviing as our interim Worship Leader.

She loves music, her grand babies and riding her motorcycle.  We are not quite sure which one is #1.
